Directions to Use: Remove a single test strip from the plastic container, holding it from the end with no colored pads. Dip the strip (all 4 colored pads) into the transparent liquid to be tested for 1 second. Depending on pH of sample, color will change almost instantly. Shake the strip to remove excess liquid. Match the color of the pads to the pH diagram on the box label to obtain the pH value of the tested liquid. A pH value of 7 is neutral. A pH value less than 7 is acidic, while a pH reading greater than 7 is alkaline.
How to Interpret Water pH Test Results The pH value of a particular water sample is obtained by matching the colors of the strip’s reagent pads after being dipped in the test liquid for approximately 1 second against the pH scale, and noting the corresponding number. Test results will vary between 0 and 14.0, and can be classified as acidic, neutral or alkaline.
