Any vehicle model is suitable for installation as long as it meets the following three requirements: 1. Has an external handle or push-button switch on the trunk (remote controls are not included) 2. Has a power tailgate (either stock or retrofitted) or a spring-loaded tailgate 3. Has keyless entry (PKE) (PKE automatically unlocks the door when the key approaches it) If criterion 1 is not met: Wiring to the driver''s seat switch is required. If criterion 2 is not met: Powered tailgates can be kicked open and closed, while spring-loaded tailgates can only be kicked open. If criterion 3 is not met: The tailgate must be unlocked using the remote control before it can be opened.
